Case Study

Brand Messaging, Values/Vision/Mission

We tailored an Organizational Identity & Roadmap to fit UPRISERS’ niche in both fashion and creative community development, researching and pulling inspiration from brands, foundations and non-profit organizations that aligned with UPRISERS’ values, messaging and work to date. In our half-day retreat, we provided space for personal reflection and visioning, analyzed existing structures, and determined an approach that both aligned with the UPRISERS brand identity but also felt distinct and more expansive.

The result was a concise set of Values, Vision and Mission statements that encompassed UPRISERS Foundation’s intention to center collective care, peer-to-peer education and intersectional gatherings in their giving strategy.

The Need

The founder of UPRISERS – a purpose-forward streetwear brand popular at retailers like PacSun and known for their collaborations with Panda Express, Chulula and more – created a fund to formalize their investment and collaboration with non-profit organizations. Inspired by their previous work bringing together disparate community groups for inspired in-person events, she sought strategy to create the Uprisers Foundation’s brand messaging – particularly its Values, Vision and Mission – and hone its giving focus.
